Great website, but can I still send a written menu and payment in to my child’s school?

Yes, we are still accepting menus onsite at your child’s school. Paper menus are sent home the 3rd week of the month. Please send them back in with your child before the due date.

What happens if my child has a field trip?

It is the parent’s responsibility to make sure that you do not sign your child up for lunch on field trip days.

 

Do you offer mid-morning snack options?

Snack bar is offered during morning break. Items range from .50 to $1.50.

What is the cut-off for submitting a menu and payment each month?

Darling Catering will no longer accept late menus. The menus are due by the due date.

How does your kitchen manage peanut and nut allergies?

Darling catering maintains a nut free kitchen. If your child has severe food allergies, to be safe, you should pack a lunch for them.

 

What changes are you implementing for a contact free lunch pick-up?

Salad bar is currently suspended this year, because of the need for contact free lunch pick-up. We will be putting fruits and vegetables inside of their lunches.

What happens if my child needs to order an emergency lunch?

Emergency lunches may be ordered first thing in the morning at the office or during morning break at the snack bar. The cost of an emergency lunch is $6.00.

What if my child is absent from school?

There are no single day credits given. If your child is out for an extended period of time or the whole class must switch to distance, contact us immediately at 916-296-9265.

 

What are my payment options?

Darling Catering accepts cash, check, or Venmo. When sending in a check or cash to the school, please seal in an envelope and write your child’s name and grade on the front. If you prefer to pay with Venmo, our account is Cheryl-Darling-4. In the “What’s it for?” notes section please include your child’s school, name, and grade.
